Board of Directors

Theresa Schultz
FounderTheresa is a Christ-follower, mother, and clinical therapist. With five grown children (two adopted, three biological) and five amazing grandchildren, she has always been drawn to caring for children and families in need.
"For over 30 years, I've served in many roles - foster mom, CASA volunteer, board member, and therapist, each one deepening my passion for helping children heal. As a trauma and attachment specialist, and as a mom to a daughter who experienced attachment disruption, I’ve witnessed the heartbreaking struggle to build safe, connected relationships. Sophia’s Hope Ranch was born from both the pain and the hope of that journey, a reflection of my lifelong calling to help families heal."

Amber Griffin-Colvin
Amber is a devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmother whose deep love for people shines through in everything she does. As a successful and hard-working realtor, she is known for serving her clients with integrity, compassion, and excellence. Beyond her professional life, Amber is a generous and active member of the community with a heart for philanthropy.
Her passion for children and her faith in Jesus makes her a natural fit for the mission of Sophia’s Hope Ranch. Amber brings a spirit of encouragement, service, and wisdom to the board, helping to ensure the vision of creating a healing and hope-filled environment for families becomes a reality.

She has been published in multiple collaborative projects as well as her own nonfiction book, Time to Rise and Shine: A Call for the Bride of Christ to Emerge. Having been in and around the publishing industry for more than twenty years, she has developed a different process and perspective on writing and publishing your book.

Author, speaker and strategic catalyst are only a few ways one could describe Janice. She is also a dear friend to many and an open ear to those needing help and spiritual guidance.
In her book, Time to Rise and Shine, Janice discusses what it’s like to become a true follower of Jesus Christ and executable tactics on how to do so. The book is a heart’s cry to come and be transformed into the likeness of Christ, calling the Bride of Christ into her destiny, her identity.

Jessie Bell
Jessie Bell is a dedicated real estate professional and proud mom of six, including two adopted children. Her personal journey has given her a deep understanding of attachment disruption, inspiring her passion for supporting families through challenging seasons. When she’s not helping clients find their perfect homes, Jessie can be found serving in her church, volunteering in the community, or spending time with family and friends. She is honored to be part of Sophia’s Hope and its mission to bring healing, stability, and hope to children and adults affected by attachment disruption.

Lisa Goff
Lisa is a retired pediatrician and loves spending time with her family. She is a prominent member of the Boerne community.
"As an adoptive mom of five children, I have seen firsthand the struggles that arise from attachment disruption and the impacts it has on the entire family system. I understand the limitations of the publicly available support networks for children and their families and understand the value of a wrap around, team approach that has the whole family in mind for healing and wholeness. I’m excited to be a part of Sophia’s Hope Ranch and the vision of a better future for hurting families."
